Compare the leading ROAS tracking software solutions and find out which platform best fits your business growth, budget, and analytics maturity. This in-depth evaluation helps you choose the right tool for modern e-commerce analytics and performance marketing.
Blended vs Channel ROAS: Why You Need Both
Channel ROAS is the revenue a platform attributes to its own ads divided by that platform's spend. Each platform counts conversions its own way, with its own attribution window, and a sale touched by several channels can be claimed by more than one of them. Added together, platform-reported revenue can therefore exceed the revenue the store actually received.
Blended ROAS (also called marketing efficiency ratio, or MER) is total store revenue divided by total marketing spend across all channels. It cannot be double-counted, but it cannot tell you which channel to scale.
Use blended ROAS to judge the business as a whole and channel ROAS to compare channels, and check that the channel figures add up to a believable share of real revenue:
Over-reporting % = (sum of platform-attributed revenue − actual total revenue) / actual total revenue
